Day 10 - Milan, Our last day
Milan
This day was all for closing gaps in Milan. Around
the afternoon we saw the best things Milan can offer and from there we went
to the attractions that were less intresting.
The morning started with a visit to the Santa Maria Della Gracia which is
the home for the famous "Last Supper" painting by Leonardo De Vinci. Tickets
should be bought before setting to the trip otherwise you'll have to pray
for an open spot. They let you enter a large room with a group of people.
The room holds the "Last Supper" and another painting. Both are bigger than
expected and even I was able to be impressed (Reminding you that I'm not an
art fan). fifteen minutes pass and you are asked nicely to leave.
Afterward we visited "Castello Sforzeco" - a fort that Leonardo De Vinci
took a part of it's design. Inside there are mostly ancient paintings and
sculptures but also the famous Pieta sculptor of Michelangelo.
Finally we visited some more plazas, and museums and by evening we just
wondered around, mostly bored.
Day Summary
The day was more oriented to Dafna area of interest Cleary
seen by the amount of 'art' word in this page. Overall we didn't enjoyed it
that much but Dafna had the chance to see some art she has only seen in her
wildest dreams, or classes.
Milan was selected by both of us as the least interesting part of the trip
and it's a shame we visited it for desert. In my taste there are better
places to go to than Milan but if you still insist on a visit I suggest no
more than day.
